Castle Leod, Strathpeffer

Castle Leod is located just outside the village & the seat of the Clan Mackenzie. I read that Castle Leod is widely regarded as the inspiration behind Castle Leoch, the seat of Clan Mackenzie in Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander books.
